A Specialty Coffee Roaster
We travel the world looking for amazing coffee from purposeful people with remarkable stories.
We then bring it home to roast, for you.
Right here,
in Devon, Alberta

We at Battle Grounds feel a deep connection to every one of our roasted coffees. We know the areas where they’re grown. We know their producers. We know their stories. We know how important coffees are to their local economies. We know how they respond to the heat in our roaster. Every one of them, unique in its own way. We love how they smell. And we love how they taste. We hope you’ll find the same joy in your cup as we do in ours. Thank you for your interest in Battle Grounds coffee!

Our roasted specialty coffees

Signature Blend

Our always and forever coffee. If you like the taste of baker’s chocolate and caramel but with an unapologetically tart side, you’ll love this flavour profile. With a body that is full and lingering, this is our signature blend.

Central American Blend

Featuring our favourite coffees from Central America, this blend offers a strong body, full of dark chocolate and brown cane sugar with hints of cinnamon and pepper. This is your all-day, every-day coffee.

Roastmasters Reserve

Our finest coffee. Single origin. Single estate. Single variety. This natural process Pacamara from Finca Las Isabellas in El Salvador will redefine how you think about coffee. Chocolaty and sweet, earthy and full. A total treat!

Heredia, Costa Rica

Our Heredia single region coffee comes from the higher altitudes of the mountain regions of Costa Rica’s Central Valley, where they produce some of the world’s finest. Its flavours include baker’s chocolate, hazelnut, brown sugar and a hint of citrus.

Planadas, Colombia

This organic coffee from the Tolima region in Colombia comes from a small group of farmers near Planadas. It’s a wonderful coffee full of sweet cacao with hints of stone fruit and raisins. It’s very difficult to obtain and often sells out before the season ends. We think you’ll fall in love it it.

Mlama, Tanzania

Our single-estate coffee from Mlama farm is a crowd favourite. Sweet caramel and milk chocolate with hints of citrus fruit and cinnamon make this cup a beautiful stand-alone. Mlama is near Moshi, near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Two Bridges, Tanzania

Peaberries!! These cute, tiny coffee beans are fun to roast, fun to grind and delicious to drink. With fine chocolate, brown sugar, cream, and a gentle citrus finish, this coffee is hand-sorted at Two Bridges Farm in the Moshi area of Tanzania, near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
